The Arches Platform Bed is inspired by Arches National Park in Utah, a red-rock landscape famous for more than 2,000 natural stone arches. Just like the formations that shaped its name, this solid-wood platform bed is built with strength, stability, and everyday reliability in mind.
Designed with the same clean, low-profile style as our classic platform beds, the Arches version adds protective railings to help keep active little sleepers safe and in place. The frame sits 6 inches off the ground, allowing steady airflow beneath the mattress to help reduce moisture and prevent mildew in humid climates.
Handcrafted from locally sourced poplar and built for long-term durability, this platform bed frame offers mattress-only support, no box spring required. About our Poplar Wood:
This is an all-natural wood product. There may be slight color variance between pieces. We use a clear-grade poplar wood, which is by definition defect-free but may contain a few smaller, less noticeable knots.
At times you may receive a piece that has a green tint to it. This is because we mill the wood down in house revealing a layer to light and air for the 1st time. This will fade to light browns and tans within a few days depending on airflow and UV light in the room.
