A Calming Space: Lauren Sullivan’s Thoughtful Room Design for Her Daughter

A Calming Space: Lauren Sullivan’s Thoughtful Room Design for Her Daughter

At Purveyor 15, we love seeing how families bring our beds to life in their homes. Recently, Lauren Sullivan, a children’s yoga teacher and mother, created a beautiful, calming space for her daughter featuring our Ozarks House Bed with Legs—and we’re honored to be a part of it.

A Home That Balances Comfort & Adventure

Lauren describes her family as being “equal parts living room family and adventure!” She shared, “We love staying home, and that’s why I find such joy in making it comfortable, cozy, and calming! We also love getting out to walk at our favorite parks, get yummy food, or just do family errand runs!”

Her daughter’s new room reflects that same balance—both a peaceful retreat and a place to explore, imagine, and play.

Designing a Space That Feels Like Home

When it came to styling the space, Lauren’s goal was clear: calm. “I never really felt like I fit any certain style, but my goal is always to make spaces feel calm and welcoming—a place where you want to hang out!”

She leans toward a boho, neutral aesthetic with “pops of color and plants—because plants are definitely part of decor!”

Why She Chose Purveyor 15

Lauren knew right away that the Ozarks House Bed with Legs was the right fit for her daughter. “As soon as I saw your website, I knew I wanted one. I love the Montessori style, the poplar wood, and the way her new bed matches her dollhouse!”

Supporting a locally-owned business was also important to her, and we love that our vision resonated with her own.

Creating a Space That Supports Independence

Beyond aesthetics, Lauren is intentional about what she includes in her daughter’s room. As a children’s yoga teacher, she understands the importance of mindful environments.

“One piece of advice is less is more! Kids don’t need more things, they need the right things—but above all, they need us.”

She focuses on choosing objects that aren’t overstimulating and that cultivate independence in learning and play. That’s one of the reasons our Ozarks House Bed with Legs was such a great fit—its low, sturdy design encourages autonomy while maintaining a cozy, inviting feel.

The Final Touch: A Space That Feels Like Home

Lauren’s daughter now has a room that is not only beautiful but also designed with intention—one that fosters both rest and creativity. Seeing her little one’s imagination take off in her new bed makes the investment completely worth it.

We’re so grateful to Lauren for sharing her experience and vision with us! Want to create a space like this for your child?
