Check out this adorable, simple Montessori style platform bed with cute and functional Mountain railings! Who says minimal can't be fun? This is the same style as our platform bed, but we've added railings for peace of mind when your active little sleeper starts rolling around. The bed is raised 6" from the ground, making sure there is airflow underneath the mattress to prevent mildew in humid climates. Each size is respective to the mattress size it fits, plus about 1 inch (ie twin mattress = 75x39, so the frame is 76x40). Mattress in picture is 6” thick. Slats approximately 3.5” apart.

Tools required for assembly can all be found at any hardware store. You will need a #2 square bit (6” long style), an extra set of hands (although I've done this myself many times), and a 14v or higher CORDLESS drill/driver.
