Here is what you should use to paint or stain your home furniture!
]]>While we don't paint or stain the bed for you, we do have some recommendations on what products to use!
Have you ever heard of Rethunk Junk Paint? It's our very favorite.
I discovered Rethunk Junk Paint a few years ago at a beautiful furniture shop my mom and I would frequent on Saturdays. They were selling this paint that said, "no sanding necessary!" It sounded to good to be true, but I picked up a jar to repaint a bench in my dining room.
After I used it once, I was hooked!
It is truly the easiest paint to use and safe for your family.
All you have to do is first, prep the piece with their spray and then paint! Voila!
Rethunk Junk gave us a link for you to use, SHOP PAINT HERE!
If you are staining your bed, we do recommend using Old English Polish after you finish staining to give your wood a beautiful finish.
Happy Painting!

]]>Every year, the Pantone Color Institute selects a shade that captures the essence of the current cultural climate. In 2024, Peach Fuzz takes center stage as the Color of the Year, offering a soft and inviting hue that can transform any space. If you're looking to infuse warmth and elegance into your home, here's a guide on how to incorporate Peach Fuzz into your room design.
Accent Walls: Consider painting one or two walls in Peach Fuzz to create a focal point in the room. This subtle yet impactful change can instantly add a touch of warmth and sophistication. Pair it with neutral furniture and accessories to let the color shine without overwhelming the space.
Soft Furnishings: Introduce Peach Fuzz through soft furnishings like curtains, floor pillows, throw pillows, and blankets. This approach allows you to experiment with the color without committing to a permanent change. Mix and match Peach Fuzz with complementary tones such as soft greens, muted blues, or neutral grays for a harmonious and balanced look.
Furniture and Decor: Bring Peach Fuzz into your room through furniture and decor elements. Consider investing in a statement piece like a Peach Fuzz sofa or accent chair to anchor the space. For a more subtle touch, incorporate Peach Fuzz through decor items such as vases, picture frames, or candles, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere.
Complementary Colors: Pair Peach Fuzz with colors that complement its warm undertones. Soft greens, muted blues, and earthy neutrals (like Purveyor 15 Beds) work well to create a balanced and visually appealing palette. Experiment with different combinations to find the right balance for your personal style and preferences.
Natural Elements: Enhance the warmth of Peach Fuzz by incorporating natural elements into your room design. Wooden furniture (again, like Purveyor 15 Beds, see what we did there lol), indoor plants, and natural textures like jute or rattan can complement the color beautifully, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance.
Layered Textures: Create visual interest by layering different textures in Peach Fuzz. Opt for a mix of materials such as plush rugs, velvet upholstery, and smooth metallic finishes. This adds depth to the room, making it feel more inviting and luxurious.
Subtle Accents: For a more understated approach, use Peach Fuzz as an accent color in smaller doses. Incorporate it into the room through accessories like candles, books, or small decorative items. This allows you to experiment with the color without making a bold statement.
Peach Fuzz, the Color of the Year for 2024, offers a versatile and timeless option for transforming your living space. Whether you choose to go all-in with painted walls and furniture or prefer subtle accents, incorporating this warm and inviting hue can breathe new life into your room design. Embrace the warmth of Peach Fuzz and let your creativity flourish as you create a space that reflects your style and personality.

]]>Montessori house style beds are typically low to the ground, allowing children to easily get in and out of bed without assistance. This design choice empowers children to take charge of their sleep routine, promoting self-reliance and reducing their reliance on caregivers during bedtime. The low height also enhances safety, minimizing the risk of falls or injuries. Additionally, the absence of side rails promotes freedom of movement, enabling children to explore their bedroom environment while still maintaining a secure sleeping space.
Beyond the practical benefits, Montessori house style beds have a positive impact on a child's overall development. By creating a personalized and inviting space, children feel a sense of ownership and responsibility for their own sleep routine. This autonomy fosters decision-making skills, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging. Additionally, the open design of the Montessori beds encourages creativity and imagination, as children can easily transform their sleeping area into a cozy reading nook, a play space, or a quiet retreat for reflection.
Incorporating Montessori principles into a child's bedroom design through the use of house style beds not only promotes independent sleeping habits but also nurtures a child's overall growth and development. With its emphasis on self-directed learning and exploration, the Montessori approach offers a holistic approach to creating an environment where children can thrive. By embracing the concept of Montessori house style beds, parents can provide their children with a nurturing and empowering space that supports their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.

Clean out the Fridge
Remove all those leftovers in the fridge and ditch the stale Christmas cookies. The fridge becomes a collection of dirty dishes from all the holiday festivities. Clean out those two-week old dishes and get rid of all those holiday treats taking up room.
It’s time to refresh from the holiday binge, even if you’re not one for making resolutions. While you’re emptying everything out, now is the perfect time to...
Throw away the clutter.
Don’t be afraid to get rid of old items to make way for the new. Donate old toys to show your kids the importance of giving and not just receiving. Trust me, they will forget about that old toy next week and always remember the feeling of helping others in need.
Skim through your closet, your kid’s closet, and even your husband’s closet. If it doesn’t fit anymore or hasn’t been worn since last spring, let it go. Here’s another chance to donate to the community around you.
Wash your bedroom sheets.
Nothing feels, or smells, better than crawling into a bed made with freshly washed sheets. Plan to wash your sheets at least once every two weeks to keep them fresh. If you really want to go above and beyond, wash them once a week.
Designate one day of the week as linen day and plan to round up all the sheets & towels in your home to give them a wash.
Have your kiddos help.
A little help goes a long way. Tiny hands can learn to clean up messes, wipe down the kitchen table, or put away cups. Figure out age appropriate tasks for your little ones and help them learn and take on responsibilities along the way.

]]>Brandi Milloy took the time to share on her blog how she created the dreamiest room for her daughter, Milly. She shares so many great tips, we know you'll enjoy!
I’m so excited to share Milly’s new room! I can’t believe our baby girl is old enough to have a big girl room. I wanted her space to be all about everything our little girl loves. She’s fearless, carefree, enjoys reading and I wanted her space to support that. I enlisted the help of Sophie Rankell to help design the space. She’s a Santa Barbara interior designer specializing in interiors with a coastal midcentury modern vibe. She’s been a friend for years and I was so excited to get her design help on this space. Sophie offers a wide variety of services (including virtual): from full service concept to completion to straight interior design to pulling together pieces in your home to make your space feel fresh and cohesive. She sourced items within my budget but also helped me design with what we already had. You can reach out to her via Instagram @SophieRankell.
This room has so many dreamy vibes, from the airy house bed to the muted rose and ocean blue colors to the cozy window seat and canopy reading corner. When you walk into her room it feels open and calming, playful and fun. But the first thing that commands your attention her bed. It really is the focal point of the room.
#1 - Go on a hike. Who doesn’t love seeing the colorful fall foliage, and a great way to see those leaves is to go on a hike or a walk! Have your kiddos collect their favorite color leaves throughout the hike. Your kids will love it and it’ll help them get their energy out.

Alternate: If you don’t want to carve the pumpkins, try painting pumpkins! With some acrylic paint and brushes, you’ll be good to go!
#4 - Visit an apple orchard. Going to an apple orchard is another great fall tradition, your kiddos will love finding delicious apples to eat. When you get home you can either make an apple pie or dip them in caramel to make candy apples, either way, apples taste even better when they are freshly picked!

“I was looking for beds and came across Purveyor 15 through Instagram,” Cynthia said.
From there, Cynthia had the inspiration she needed for her son’s bedroom! She decided to go with a woodland theme with greys, whites and a natural woods. When designing, she loves to incorporate a solid color palette with a bold theme.
“I get all my ideas from Pinterest, and then I create a storyboard and figure out what works and what doesn’t. That’s how I came up with my son’s toddler room!”
After Cynthia created her Pinterest boards, she began to dream and let her imagination put the rest of the room together.
She opted to redo the floors - laying a clean, solid foundation for the room.
“Start with the base, either the floors or the walls, and start with a strong base so you have something to work off. I think finding that base color is the main thing to get everything going.”
Then she focused her attention to the walls, adding wooden wallpaper brings the whole room together. It definitely makes us feel like we’re in a woodland wonderland!
The room took two months from start to finish! Her son loves it, and he’ll tell you, his favorite part is his House Bed.
“It’s like you walk in and BAM! That’s the statement piece, it brings everything together and gives the woodland theme.”
Sometimes, Cynthia will put a sheet over the bed, and let her son play and pretend!
“He can go in there and play and it gives him space for imagination. He thinks he’s Spiderman or sometimes he has his own family.”
Currently, Cynthia and her family are in the middle of a move. When they get to their new home she is looking forward to decorating again!

Picnics in the summertime go hand-in-hand, and it is one of the easiest things to do! Find a nearby park, make some sandwiches at home, grab some sides (we love fresh watermelon and grapes), and go enjoy your day eating outside!
#2—Make tie-dye shirts
Growing up, tie-dye shirts were my family’s go-to in the summertime. Just pick up a pack of white t-shirts, some rubber bands, and dye. Oh! And don’t forget to lay a few trash bags or newspapers on the ground!
Tie the shirt off using the rubber bands and apply the dye. You can find fun designs and patterns with a simple Google search. We promise this will be a fun family memory for years to come!
#3—Have a water balloon fight
Water balloon fights are a fun way too beat the summer heat!
Divide everyone into teams and designate a color of water balloons to each team. The great thing about this is there really is no winner, but everyone is sure to have a good time.
#4—Fly kites
You are never too old or too young to fly a kite! You can either buy one or make your own with fabric, sticks and some string, and take it outside and let the summer breeze do the rest. I remember when I was a kid, it was exciting to see more than one kite soaring high in the sky!
#5—Make homemade popsicles
Homemade popsicles taste so good after spending time in the heat, and they are super simple to make. Grab some fruit juice or puree fresh fruit to make your own (dilute with some water) and put them in a popsicle mold. Before you freeze them, add some sticks and place foil over the top to keep the sticks in place. Enjoy after a long day in the sun!

]]>"This was a dream and something I have always wanted to do," Amanda told us.
As a mom of three girls, she knew she wanted their home to be a place where they could relax and play but was still beautiful and flow from one room to the next.
"My style is like boho, classic vintage, modern... it's a combination but you'll always find something vintage!"
The inspiration for her youngest daughter's room came when she found our classic House Bed + Railings!
"It was a complete no brainer! (Our daughter) is a climber so I didn’t have to worry about her falling out of bed."
As soon as the house bed was in, Amanda decided she wanted the room to feel girly and sweet without being dominating. She chose mustard yellow and a soft pastel floral wall decal to add a bit of color. This color palette matched the rest of their home.
"I wanted it to have a clean feel and have little spaces for her to feel comfortable in. I repurposed cabinets for her to keep toys in it...it's great to have a defined play area and she has a defined reading area."
When it came time to add a vintage piece, Amanda found an incredible dresser. We love this super functional piece because it will grow with your kiddo! And let's be real—you can never have too much storage. In fact, Amanda recommends stocking up on baskets with lids. Whether they are from the antique mall down the road or Target. She says you can never have enough baskets with lids!
Last but not least, Amanda added a stunning chandelier covered in soft pink flowers. This chandelier adds height to the room and draws your eyes up.
"Lillian loves it so much. She says, 'I'm just so cozy!'"

"My style is a little bit of french, farmhouse, Scandinavian—many different European influences," Lindsay shared.
Throughout the years she has been able to put a lot of time into their home and create something special.
"My husband used to travel and when he would leave I would have to stay busy so I started trying new things."
When it came time to design a room for her son, Liam, she decided to go all out!
"I always wanted to try to do shiplap, so I gave it a try."
Lindsay ventured to her local hardware store and started gathering supplies.
This is how she made the shiplap-inspired wall:
1. Bought quarter-inch plywood
2. Cut it down into sections, 8-inches wide
3. Used a nail-gun to pop it up on the wall
4. Then painted!
"I was originally going to leave (the wall) white, but going on Pinterest I found a black shiplap and I couldn’t stop thinking about that. Our son is obsessed with space so I went with a space theme — and decided on a soft blue."
When she added in her son's Purveyor15 bed the whole room came together.
"The first time we put him in the bed he fell right asleep! He goes in there and just hangs out."
Lindsay added a few space themed touches like a solar system mobile and telescope. It took her a couple of weeks to put the whole room together. Now she is savoring every second of this room before they pack up, move & start the next adventure in the near future!
"I love it so much. It just turned out incredible!"

]]>We chatted with #Mompreneur, Katherine Tuttle, based out of Georgia. She is always looking for her next DIY project and blogs about capsule life, decor & healthy living.
A few months ago, she set out to redesign her son's bedroom. As most things are, designing is a process and Katherine loves it. She began by asking her son, what he had in mind.
"Teddy wanted colors all over the room—blue on one wall, red on another," Katherine said. "When designing for kids, they don’t really know what they want. You have to take their interests and insight and put them through the lens of good design."
Knowing her five, almost six-year-old, son loves dinosaurs and adventure, she decided that would be her inspiration. She started with Google and Pinterest—looking up "explorer bedrooms for kids."
"Through a good friend, I came across (your) teepee bed. I imagined Teddy turning it into a fort ... the bed became the focal point for his room."
If you don't know where to begin, Katherine recommends picking one piece that will be your main star! It could be a bed frame, a cabinet, maybe even an art piece. But she says it is important to pick your focal point at the beginning and then base your design around that one piece.
"Pick the star of the vignette and build from there. It doesn’t mean that part shines brighter than the rest, it just means that is the anchor."
After the focal point was ordered, she turned her eyes toward the walls. With the help Teddy, they picked an awesome, quirky explorer mural from Anewall Decor.
From there, she started bringing in other pieces one random shopping trip at a time.
"Design is never done, it takes time. Let the design unfold organically. Don’t try to rush it—cast the vision and let it unfold."
The rug was one of the last things she added to the room, she says the rug either needs to be picked first to create a statement or picked very last to serve as a neutral to tie the space together.
"I love it, there are still some things that I need to figure out like adding a new shelf. But I am really proud that he loves it and that he feels that he can be in his room building, playing and exploring."
From start to practically finished (Katherine is always looking for new things to add), this project took around four months. Teddy is loving his big kid room and making forts regularly!
"I’ve created a haven for him and that was my goal."

It's hard to believe spring has sprung! Do you feel like 2020 is flying by? We sure do! Before days get too hot and bedtime becomes later and later—we wanted to share some of our favorite springtime activities.
]]>
#1—Afternoon Scavenger Hunt
After lunch is over and the sun is shining, take the kiddos outside and have them go on a springtime scavenger hunt. We've made it easy for you—here's a list ready for you to use!
#2—Plant a garden
Planting a garden is the activity that just keeps giving! There is always something to do the next day. Whether you plant flower beds, a vegetable garden or a small indoor herb garden—having a garden is a great lesson in responsibility.
#3—Raise butterflies
It typically takes a few weeks to raise butterflies. You can buy a kit online and watch butterflies grow before your eyes. This is a wonderful science experiment for your kiddos!
#4—Make potato art
Potato art is something my mom used to do with me. She would cut up potatoes in different shapes, like squares, triangles and rectangles. Then, we would make shape patterns by dipping the potatoes in paint. It's a great way to help your kids learn their shapes and make art!
#5—Make flower prints
Go outside and gather lots of flowers. Then, place thin paper over top (one flower at a time) and lightly color over the flower with crayons. The flower will make a beautiful impression!
We hope you have a happy springtime!
]]>But it's no secret that kid's interests are always changing ... from Peppa Pig to PJ Masks to Frozen 2 ... you just never know what will be popular that day! We suggest creating a space that will grow with your kiddo and be exciting for years to come.
#1 - Choose a neutral wall color
Painting the walls a bold, bright color is a commitment and what is 'in' this year—will change next year. Stick with painting the walls a neutral color, these are some of our favorites:
If you're looking to add an accent wall, try removal wallpaper. That is sure to add a pop of color!
#2 - Pick a theme
Instead of picking bedding from the hottest animated movie—choose a theme that will grow with your child.
Use this theme to bring in decorations like pictures, wall art and decor. These items can always be easily replaced, making the theme easy to change out as your kiddo grows.
#3 - Add pops of color with bedding
Now that you know your theme, you can add pops of color with the bedding. Bring in fun pillows, blankets and don't forget to add some colorful sheets for a fun surprise!
#4 - Choose furniture that will grow with your child
When furniture shopping, buy durable furniture that will last through the pillow fights, sleepovers, jumping on the bed, and yes, the restless nights too.
At Purveyor 15, we handcraft each and every bed to ensure the best quality possible. From our classic House Beds to Canopy Beds—we have a bed that will fit your space and last for years to come.
#5 - Incorporate storage options
We all know there is no such thing as too much storage! Incorporate neutral furniture pieces into your design that have multiple purposes. Add a bench that opens up to store toys, bins under the bed to organize the winter clothes, or bookshelves.
These items will be transitional pieces that will grow with your kiddo and will be able to be used no matter their interest.
Pro Tip: Create "a place" for everything, that way your growing kiddo can easily clean up from their latest adventure!
Through the design process, ask your kids for their help—it's their room after all. This will add extra excitement!
]]>We all know sleep is important but do your kids know sleep is important? As parents, bedtime can be grueling.
But we're here to tell you bedtime can be FUN! We believe every child's room is meant to be a space where they can create, unwind and relax.
]]>"Just one more glass of water."
"I need to go to the bathroom."
"I'm not tired!"
But we're here to tell you bedtime can be FUN! We believe every child's room is meant to be a space where they can create, unwind and relax.
To make bedtime fun—use these tips:
Having a routine is crucial! Believe it or not, your kids' little body knows when it is time to sleep and time to get up. It also comforts your kiddos when they know what to expect!
Get a glass of water, read a book, sing a song or say your prayers. Whatever the routine, do it each and every night!
Yes, a fan! A cool room and some white noise are perfect to ease your kiddo to sleep.
It's important to ease any fears your child has. If they are afraid of the dark, get a fun nightlight. If they are afraid of monsters, spray a room spray and refer to it as "monster repellent" or yes, go and search for the monsters on a hunt! Take their fears seriously to make their room a safe haven.
It's always way more fun to go to sleep in a house bed! Trust us!
At the end of the day, good sleep is needed for your children to function and be happy! If you have any ideas that work for your family, feel free to send them our way. We hope you all get some good sleep in the nights ahead!

#1—Indoor Picnic
We all eat dinner every night but instead of eating around the dinner table, make a picnic and take it to the living room. Grab a picnic blanket, a few PB&Js and some cups with lids! This is every kids dream!
#2—I Spy Walk
Remember the game “I Spy”? I spy with my little eye … something … RED! Then the guessing begins.
Take it outdoors on a walk around the neighborhood or the playground. It’s a great way to get some exercise!
#3— Blanket Fort
A well built blanket fort can entertain the family for hours. Grab a few chairs, blankets, some popcorn and an old fashioned DVD player and show your kids what your childhood looked like!
#4—Obstacle Course
Ready. Set. GO! Turn your home into an obstacle course with everyday items like chairs, pillows, benches, staircases and stuffed animals. Outline the course and then take turns doing it and timing each other. Make a bracket and keep it fun!
#5—Create Cards for Healthcare Workers
Our healthcare workers are working around the clock. Take this opportunity to spread some cheer! Have them draw and write thank you cards for doctors and nurses.

Step 2: Cutting. Every board is hand-cut to size.

But how?
There’s so much information out there so we decided to break it down for you!
#1 Options
Did you know you have options? You can choose a toddler bed (crib sized mattress) or a twin sized bed with rails.
We suggest keeping the bed low to the ground to prevent any injuries if your kiddo rolls out or decides to have an epic, late night dance party.
#2 Keep it fun
Keep the transition fun and positive! This new bed is a big deal—go above and to make your toddler feel like they are entering a new stage. Your excitement for them will hopefully ease any fears.
#3 Keep up routine
The bedtime routine is incredibly important. Keep it the same! We suggest setting up the new bed in the same spot as the crib and keeping decorations similar so distractions are limited.
#4 Involve them in the process
We’ve found the best way to get your toddler invested in this transition is for them to make it their own.
#5 Reward
Each morning your child wakes up in their big kid bed, give them a reward! It could be a star sticker or a sweet treat. No matter what the reward, keep it consistent and make it a big deal.
The ‘big kid’ transition takes time. So take it one night at a time, make adjustments and give plenty of grace. You got this!
Each bed is made with a lot of love from our Missouri shop. We take pride in each and every piece created. So does our owner, Matt Grandt.
Matt has a knack for building things—fences, coffee tables, or whatever else you eye on Pinterest! In fact, that’s how all this came about. Back in 2016—Matt’s wife, Courtney, saw a picture of a bed that resembled a whimsical house shape and asked him to build it for their daughter.
After it was finished, Courtney posted it on social media and the response was overwhelming.
People fell in love with the idea of a fun house shape as the frame for their toddler’s bed!
Matt decided to post it on his Etsy shop and just a few days later one sold, then another, and another and you know where this is going!
A business was formed right before their very eyes.
“It’s incredible, honestly,” Matt says. “If I didn’t have a wife that believed in me it wouldn’t have ever happened.”
They named the company the The Pinned Purveyor—with the thought that anything you pinned on Pinterest, they could create. But as time went on the name changed to Purveyor15. The “15” comes from a randomly generated website domain namer, as “www.purveyor.com" wasn’t available. They thought “Purveyor 15” had a ring to it, and that was that!
Within eight months, Matt found himself building these custom creations full time.
“A lot of prayer went into what you see now,” Matt says. “Being close to the church, hanging out with groups of people who pray has helped us so much.”
Purveyor15 has grown a lot over the years, each bed is handcrafted in our shop in Ozark, Missouri just for you and your kiddos. From houses complete with Picket fences to a beach hut hideaway to a teepee retreat — Matt has fun with the designs and tries to create something that every kid will love.
Our beds are in homes all across the country. We love reading your reviews and seeing your beautiful pictures. We believe we have the best customers on the planet!
So the next time you look at your Purveyor15 bed, place your next order or maybe even your first order—know that this bed has a story. It was made with a lot of heart by our team. We are so thankful you partnered with us to help create a place for your kiddo to sleep tight and dream big!
